Security Requirements

Beyond system specifications, the following security requirements must be met for secure Ekip Connect deployment:

Operating System Hardening

Windows 11 is strongly recommended (Windows 10 requires additional hardening)
All security patches must be applied before connecting to networks
Secure Boot must be enabled in BIOS
Disable unnecessary services and features

Encryption and Storage

Full disk encryption (BitLocker on Windows) is mandatory for production systems
Sensitive data (device configurations, credentials) must be encrypted at rest
Temporary files must be securely deleted after operations

Antimalware Protection

Antivirus and antimalware software must be installed and actively running
Real-time scanning must be enabled
Malware definitions must be updated daily
Monthly full-system scans are recommended

Network Security

Host-based firewall (Windows Firewall) must be enabled
Firewall rules must restrict network communication to required ports only
Ekip Connect workstation must be on isolated management network
VPN required for remote access to device networks

Authentication

All users must authenticate via MyABB
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is strongly recommended
No automatic logins (autologin must be disabled)
Automatic screen lock after 15 minutes of inactivity required

Software Updates

Windows security patches must be applied automatically
Ekip Connect must be updated to latest version immediately
Antivirus definitions must be auto-updated daily
Do not disable automatic updates for security software
