Diagnostic

Description of the function
The Diagnostic function allows you to check the flow that the device performs to collect data from the field and transmit it to the cloud.
 
Requirements
Access to the function Unrestricted
Type of devices that support the function Gateways, External units for circuit breakers, Fuse-disconnectors, change-over switches, Circuit breakers (with Ekip Com Hub communication module installed)
Device status Any
Type of connection with the device Connection to Ethernet network (Modbus TCP)

A Buttons on the page
  • Start/Stop: starts/stops the diagnostics session.
  • Repeat Selected Tests: repeats the selected tests.
  • Generate Report: allows the session report to be saved in .pdf format
  • Show Log: displays the diagnostics session logs.
  • Configure TCP Scan: opens the window to set the Ethernet TCP network scanning parameters
C Session test list:
  • Test running icon: test running
  • Test ok icon: test completed successfully
  • Test not ok icon: test completed with problems
  • Details: shows additional information about the test.
 
Perform a diagnostic session
  1. Click on Configure TCP Scan: the Device scan settings window opens.
  2. Set the parameters of the Ethernet TCP network to which the device to be tested is connected and click on OK.
  3. Click on Start: a window appears asking you to enable the configuration session on the device.
  4. Manually enable the session on the device, then click on OK.
  5. If requested, in the Select Hub window, select the device to be tested.
  6. In the ABB Ability ENVIRONMENT window, select the usage environment, then click on OK: the Log in window appears.
  7. Log in: the Hub Password window appears with the serial number of the device already filled in.
  8. Enter the 16-digit password of the device, then click on OK: the results of the tests performed appear.
  9. If necessary, do the following:

repeat the tests     select them, then click on Repeat Selected Tests.
save the session report    click on Generate Report.
view the session logs    click on Show Log.
